The day before my birthday, I knew I wanted to do something adventurous that would take me out of my comfort zone. Enter glacier hiking and ice climbing with @arcticadventures. It’s safe to say this took me wayyy out of my comfort zone 😬 Having to rappel backwards down a wall of ice and then ice climb my way back up was terrifying, incredibly challenging and, ultimately, exhilarating. I think I might be looking forward to the next time ☺️🇮🇸

Rub a dub-dub, Bundi the elephant’s getting a scrub 🐘💦😀 I recently visited the @wildlife_friends_foundation (WFFT) in Pretchaburi, Thailand. It’s a wildlife refuge (among other things) that rescues captive wild animals and rehabilitates them as much as possible. Since being founded in 2001, they have given shelter to literally thousands of animals, including elephants, gibbons, orangutans, bears, macaques, crocodiles, and even two cows currently making WFFT their home!
Sawasdee Ka! Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand! My social media break has come to an end (did anyone even notice I was gone?🤔). You can read about how it went on the blog (link in bio). I’m still trying to keep my social media usage low but felt I should at least say hi 👋🏾 I have so many pictures from my March/early April travels to Iceland, Hong Kong, Vietnam and now Thailand to share over the coming weeks, so stay tuned. This is my second time in Thailand but my first time in Bangkok. Fun fact: April is the hottest month to be here, so it’s lots of 😅😓💦 happening at the moment, but I’m still having a great time 😀 More to come later!
New on the blog - My 2019 Travel Plans and Goals (link in bio) ✈️And starting tomorrow, I’m doing a bit of an experiment and taking a social media hiatus for the month of March. I’ve been having related conversations with friends lately - some who’ve gotten off social media or deleted their apps so they’re not on as much. I’ve done the same for a few days here and there but never for longer than a week, in large part because I felt like I should be updating my blog social media accounts at least somewhat regularly. But I’ve decided those are going on hiatus too. I’ll be back in April (I think) and I’ll still be writing on my blog, just not posting on social media. See you later 🙋🏾‍♀️
